BISHOP MACKENZIE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL WINS THE AIMS PRIMARY CROSS-COUNTRY      EVENT

The AIMS primary cross-country event, a vibrant athletic meet where international primary schools compete in events like running, relay races, and long jump, was hosted this year at two locations, Hillview International Primary School, where it kicked off on 5 June 2025, and St Andrews International Primary School, where the final events took place. Participating schools included Hillview International School, Bishop Mackenzie International School, St Andrews International School, Phoenix International School, and Sir Harry Johnson International School.

Bishop Mackenzie swept the field, claiming victory in every activity of the day. Elvis Padagwa, one of Bishop Mackenzie's coaches, congratulated his team, saying, "The young stars showed their courage and proved they could make it. They did exactly what I told them to do, we are hoping for more success in future competitions, and we will keep motivating them so that they continue with this spirit into secondary school."He said 

Julie Ann Bray, a coach from Hillview International School, reflected on the day, "The young stars tried hard, but it was not their day. We hope to do better in next year's competition. We have learned a lot from this experience, and we will go back, identify our weaknesses, and come back stronger next year to win." she said 

Thungululu Kazako, an athlete from Phoenix International School, shared her thoughts: "It was a nice competition, and although my school came second, we believe that next time we will win and get the trophy,I have learnt a lot from this competition, and it has given me the courage that I can make it and become a star. "she said•
