Peter Phiri a photojournalist and founder of Curiosity Diaries is proving that young people can turn simple ideas of street visuals into impactful business.

with passion for photography through his street photography.He is quickly becoming prominent a figure in the photography industry as  he captures honest moments, emotions, and stories from everyday people. Because of this, modern art becomes more real, relatable, and connected to society instead of being only about perfection. He has   captivated attention to his peers, celebrities and professionals alike with his unique capturing.

Balancing storytelling with art in photography is a challenge but Phiri embraces it Wholeheartedly.

“Balancing storytelling with art in photography is not easy, I focus on telling the truth first, I try as much as possible to not alter any part of the scene because I don't want to tell a story that is false, so I try to find a balance between being as factual as I can be while not neglecting the importance of following photography framing and composition rules”,he said.

His dedication as a street photographer is to improve photography, observe everyday details in streets and study inspiring works like classic photos, films, and books. This will help people see beauty and meaning in everyday life as Street photography shows real life as it is. Over time, these images teach people to value small moments and understand life from different perspectives.

Phiri explains how he engages people in street when taking their pictures," When taking pictures of people in public I try to engage them in conversation first and ask for their permission so as to not scare them with my camera and not invade in their privacy.” he said

Fellow photographer, Christopher Juta, praised Phiri’s work noticing it’s impact on local creative photography’s turning ordinary scenes into art

“His art helps people see beauty and meaning in everyday life. Ordinary moments become history, memories and culture. Over time, these images teach people to value small moments and understand life from different perspectives” he said.

One of social media influencers,Phangazindaba Thole,describes Phiri as one of photographers make everyday photos interesting to your followers.

“He makes everyday photos interesting by focusing on real moments, good light and simple stories from daily life in Malawi. These rare moments work well on social media because they grab attention quickly, especially when they show strong emotion or meaning "he said.
